We take your privacy seriously. We do not sell any personal information you provide to us. Consultation Agreement Consent*CONSULTATION AGREEMENT- WHATCOM LAW GROUP, PS This Consultation Agreement sets forth the terms and conditions of the consultation meeting between the Whatcom Law Group (“Attorney,” “we,” or “us”) and the undersigned prospective client(s) (“you”): 1. The purpose of the consultation is for us (a) to learn about you and your particular legal needs based on the information you provide; (b) answer your questions to the best of our ability; (c) identify your options and to the extent possible, analyze the costs and benefits of those alternatives; (d) to help you determine your course of action, if any; (e) discuss our fees and terms of representation if an ongoing attorney-client relationship is to be established after the meeting; and (f) to determine the next steps in the process, as appropriate. 2. All information and documents that you provide to us at the initial consultation shall remain strictly confidential, whether or not you decide to retain us to provide legal services, except as authorized by you or otherwise provided under the Washington Rules of Professional Conduct. 3. Reliance Limited. Because it may be impossible to fully assess a matter within the time frame allotted for the consultation or with the information or documents that you provided at the consultation, any legal opinion we provided at the consultation will be based solely on the information you provide to Attorney at the time of consultation. 4. Limited Scope. The initial consultation is a limited scope service provided by us to help you determine whether you may want us to provide legal service. At the conclusion of the initial consultation, there is no obligation for you to retain us, nor do we have an obligation to provide services to you, unless mutually agreed. 5. Cost of Consultation. The cost for the initial consultation is based on the hourly rate of the Attorney and the matter and any materials that need to be reviewed in advance. The minimum cost will be quoted and paid in advance, and payment of said fee is an acknowledgement of the quote and its reasonableness. In no case will a consultation fee be less than one billable hour regardless of the duration of the consultation. Consultations that last longer than an hour will have additional charges incurred at the attorney's hourly rate. Please sign below and complete the Client Contact Information.
